Technical Specifications

The BOSS Hi-Density Filing Storage Range of components have been designed specifically to take into consideration both the “Hardware” (cabinetry), as well as the “Software” (paper) requirements in the modern day work environment.

METAL BASE AND MOBILE TROLLEY

The metal base is constructed from 38mm x 50mm square tubing with a wall thickness of 2mm.  Cross braces of 25mm x 25mm x 1.5mm wall thickness are then welded to the frame work.  Two ANTI-TILT guide rails manufactured from 40mm x 5mm x 1.6mm “bright mild” steel  are then fitted to the top of the 50mm x 38mm tube.  Adjustable levelling devices are then fitted to the base in order to cater for uneven floors at the time of installation, and are accessible from the top of the metal base.

A mobile trolley (bogey) is then fitted to the metal frame and is manufactured from 1.6mm mild steel.  The mobile trolley is fitted with 60mm diameter x 30mm wide wheels, which run directly on the 40mm x 5mm “bright-mild” steel track.   Each wheel runs on 2 double dust sealed bearings, which are fitted with 12mm axles. The load bearing capacity of each wheel exceeds 700kg, and each mobile trolley is fitted with 4 wheels.  ALL mobile trolleys are fitted with 4 ANTI-TILT devices so as to stop the cabinet from toppling when loaded and when being moved from side to side.

All metal parts are processed via a ‘dipping’ process to remove all rust, and to degrease the parts prior to the application of the 60-micron thickness, electrostatic powder epoxy coated paint finish.

METAL CABINET

The metal cabinet consisting of 2 sides (2200mm height x 400mm depth), a metal back (2200mm height x 1100mm width), and top panel (1100mm width x 400mm depth) are manufactured from 1mm cold rolled mild steel. All components are bolted together using 6mm galvanised bolts, and once assembled the metal cabinet is fastened to the metal trolley by means of 6mm galvanised bolts.

MECHANICAL CHAIN DRIVES

Whilst all cabinets supplied are NOT FITTED with mechanical assist chain drive mechanisms, these are available at an additional cost should they be required.

GUARANTEE

The Specialised Filing Systems Hi-Density (moving aisle) bulk filing storage range is guaranteed for a period of 5 years from date of INITIAL installation.  This guarantee covers faulty materials and/or workmanship and is based on the assumption that the cabinet is subjected to conditions of normal wear and tear.

Please be advised that whilst the units are moveable, it is important to note that in the instance where a relocation of the unit is required that the relocation be undertaken by an accredited fitter (at a market related charge/cost) of Specialised Filing Systems so as not to forego the manufacturers guarantee.  FAILURE to comply with this requirement will result in the loss of all guarantees.
